Primary School supports those in need

Anita Blackwell & year 5 students

St Benedict’s Primary School, Mango Hill is one of the many schools that collected goodies for us in term 2.

The whole school got involved and donated items to make care packs for our patrons. 160 care packs were donated and comprised of toothpaste, a toothbrush, deodorant, hand sanitiser, shampoo, conditioner, tissues, muesli bar, biscuits, and a cosy pair of socks and/or a beanie.

In addition to the care packs they also presented us with cups of noodles, coffee, milo, long life milk, and other snacks. The students at St Benedict’s didn’t stop there though, a group of year 5 students organised a movie and pizza night at the school where more than 100 people paid $5 to attend with all of the monies going to Rosies.

It was truly a fantastic effort by all involved! We are so grateful to St Benedict’s Primary School, Mango Hill and to all of the schools that help us keep our vans fully stocked and in the local communities where we are needed most.
