Chrissy on the Coast

Volunteers serving Christmas dinner provided by the team at Club Kawana

Well, it’s Christmas time with a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to one and all from the Sunshine Coast Rosies – friends on the street volunteers.

What a treat it was for us to hold the ‘Christmas Day’ celebrations for our patrons, family, and  friends on  Friday the 10th of December. After a stormy start to the day the skies cleared with Felicity Park being abuzz with Christmas Carols, laughter, and lots of excited banter by the 75+ patrons, supporters, and Rosies volunteers all enjoying such a wonderful time together.

Patrons were treated to free haircuts by Hair Aid, chrissy treats were given out to dogs by Pets in the Park, Share the Dignity bags full of lady’s personal items were given to the women patrons with the men given gift vouchers.

Santa – Sunshine Coast style 🙂

Tables held groceries and clothing for all, with the kids given gift wrapped presents.

Not one person left hungry, with Club Kawana donating a hot Christmas meal and desert for all to enjoy.

And, what a surprise when Santa turned up Sunshine Coast style, handing out treats and good cheer to all.

Such an amazing night had by all. One that could never have been so successful without the help and smiles of so many but especially the support of the Sunshine Coast Council grant program.
