Community BBQ brings friendship and fellowship to Sundays

Sundays have long since seen a gap in services on the Gold Coast. As the demand for support increases due to continued stress on the rental market, our Surfers Paradise branch began looking for ways to remain present for those who access our service. After connecting with Rosies to collect essential items, Heritage Church of Faith in Burleigh wanted to do more and offered to sponsor a Sunday afternoon BBQ for patrons at our normal outreach location. The first BBQ was held in late June and a beautiful spread was laid out for all who attended, from sausages, salads, and fresh fruit; even those with special dietary requirements were catered for. All in attendance had a wonderful afternoon of games, friendship, and of course delicious food cooked with love. Due to the success of the first BBQ, Rosies Surfers Paradise Branch is looking for sponsors to help them produce the event fortnightly.
