Across Queensland, Rosies operates in 14 different places! These branches are all run by volunteers; most having both a Branch Coordinator and a Deputy Branch Coordinator.

The coordinator supports the branch and volunteers, by creating a warm, safe place for all. Day to day, you’ll find them looking after all things related to outreach and ensuring there is a team to take the van out and that there is ample coffee, tea, biscuits etc to share with our friends on the street.

Peter and Eunice are the husband and wife team who lead our Cairns branch. The pair joined Rosies in 2021 and joined the leadership team in January of 2022. These wonderful leaders very quickly fit into the Rosies mission and are support to our Cairns volunteers and patrons.

“I have found my experience as Deputy Branch Co-ordinator for Rosies as transformative, rewarding and giving of yourself for the benefit of others” Peter shared.

Eunice felt called to join the leadership team as a part of putting her faith into action, “I love my role! Its exciting and fulfilling. Because it’s doing what Jesus did. Serving and helping those in need, without expecting anything in return!”
