Marymount College: Isabella’s Experience
On Thursday night, Maisy, Skye, Nellie and I alongside Mrs. Guthrie volunteered to help Rosies serve food and warm drinks to the homeless.
The experience helped me appreciate the simple things in life and recognise the privileges I have.
It’s easy to take for granted things like a warm bed, a hot meal, and a supportive network of family and friends.
Volunteering for Rosies has reminded me of the importance of giving back and using my time to help those who are less fortunate, as well as to have empathy and compassion.
Whether it was serving meals or simply offering a listening ear or kind word, every interaction felt meaningful and important.
I’m grateful for the opportunity to join Rosie’s Outreach and I encourage my peers to partake in this humbling experience.
